Sorry for the serious lack of updating.  There's really no excuse for it, other than I've been very busy at work.

On Saturday, I was getting dressed in the morning after my shower and realised that all of my clothes were too big.  Wow.  So I went shopping and I've gone down a whole entire dress size in three months.  Yeah, I'm chuffed.  (That's Brit-Speak for pretty damned excited!)  I splurged and bought two new outifts and some new earrings.

Also, I've started swimming every day again.  Since it's been consistently in the high 90's every day for the past two weeks, the pool's heated up nicely and I swim at least ten laps in the morning and ten when I get home after work.  It seems small to me, considering I used to be able to swim a mile without much trouble.  Hopefully, I'll be back at that level in the future.

Well, that's all I've got time for today.  Hope your lives are going well.  Drop me a comment and let me know how life's been treating you.

Not much going on today.  I'm frustrated as hell with my job right now.  Ever make some sort of mistake - COMPLETELY UNINTENTIONALLY AND ACCIDENTIALLY - and not be able to fix it, no matter what you do?  Yeah, that's what I'm dealing with right now.  Two hours of rewriting the same 20 lines of code in every possible manner and I can't figure out why the stupid page is not working correctly!  GLERGH!!!!!

The whole weight loss thing kinda took a back seat this week-end.  Saturday, my husband and I went out to celebrate our 4th annivesary at the Melting Pot, which if you've never been there or heard of it, is a fondue place.  I highly recommend you check it out if you ever get a chance.  Although, you should probably not do this if you're dieting, because it's easy to blow your whole diet on the appetizer alone!  Then of course, Sunday was Mommy's Day and my kids and husband made me breakfast in bed and then dinner.  And they, because they love me, made me all of my most fattening, horrible favourite foods - eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, English muffins, and for dinner, lasagne and garlic bread.  But I got back on the healthy eating bandwagon Monday morning.  I'm still waiting for the pool to heat up so I can get started with exercise, but I have been doing some yoga stretching when I wake up and about an hour's worth of meditation every night before bed.  I may not be loosing a lot of weight, but I am feeling a lot better - more energetic, peaceful...happy.

15 Things You Probably Never Knew or Thought About

1. At least 5 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.

2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.

3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.

4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.

5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.

6. You mean the world to someone.

7. If not for you, someone may not be living.

8. You are special and unique.

9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.

10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.

11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.

12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.

13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.

14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.

15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

I got this from an email from a friend and although it's rather cliche, it's still nice to think about.  Especially when you've had the sort of life I've had.

Phew.  That was a lot of crap to unload on you guys over the past few days.  I'm very, very appreciative of your supportive comments.  It means more to me than you know.

I'm thinking that I need to lighten things up a little around here.  So, in that vein, I ask a question of you, Loyal Readers:

If you've recently changed your diet to exclude saturated fats, high cholesterol foods, etc, and to include more healthful things like whole grains, raw fruits & veggies, etc, have you noticed some rather distressing ...uh... gastrointestinal issues?  Or in plain English, are you farting a lot more?

We've recently outlawed "crap food" in our house and everyone (my husband, daughter, son, and I) is a lot gassier lately.  I think it's because our systems aren't used to such healthy fare...or perhaps it's because cabbage and broccoli and whole wheat breads have more fiber which for some reason causes more flatulence.

I dunno.  It's just a random observation that I can't help but wonder if others have noticed it, too.
